The Supermen Lovers Go Sunny and Pop on “Coco Bingo”

The Supermen Lovers release “Coco Bingo”, a sunny pop turn from Guillaume Atlan, with Nicole Slack Jones, Kye Sones and more. Here is how it fits his catalog.

The Supermen Lovers are back with a new album. Coco Bingo came out on October 30, 2026, on Word Up Records, under exclusive license to Universal Music France and Polydor. It has 11 tracks and runs about 35 minutes.

Guillaume Atlan says the record was born when he was close to stopping everything. What came out instead is a light, sunny album with a simple message: it’s not that deep, take time to live and enjoy.

A PRODUCER WHO STOPPED TRYING TO WIN THE DANCEFLOOR

You can hear a man putting down a weight. For 20 years, Atlan built tracks for crowds that wanted more bass and more speed. Here he lets the tempo fall and hands the lead to melody and voices, as if he finally stopped asking what the club needed and started asking what he felt like singing. The label calls it a “sunny, feel-good pop sound”, and the record plays like a friend telling you to relax. Even the running time sounds like a choice: 35 minutes, songs of about three minutes, and a one-minute breather in the middle of the track list.

The voices carry that mood. New Orleans singer Nicole Slack Jones brings her gospel background and appears on several tracks, as does Kye Sones. Cesar Chouraqui (Cesar & The Idem Colony), Alexis Perez and Edem Omega also sing on the record, and the label names Morgan Kibby, a former member of M83. Atlan describes the songs as stories of lucky meetings and good timing, and that is how the album feels: a producer opening the door to other people instead of working alone.

The album was previewed with “One & More” and “Coloque Seu Canudo” in April, then “Dancing in the Rain” in June. The latest video, “Midnight Train” with Alexis Perez, is below.

FROM STARLIGHT TO COCO BINGO

The Supermen Lovers have never stayed in one place. “Starlight” in 2001 reached number 2 in both France and the UK and turned Atlan into one of the names of the French Touch wave. Later came Between the Ages, made with 1980s funk figures like Rick Bailey and Norma Jean Wright of Chic, then a mix of synths, guitars and brass. His last album before this one, Body Double, arrived in 2022 after trips between Paris and Kyiv.

Coco Bingo is the lightest of these turns. Where the older records leaned on disco-funk grooves and club energy, this one puts song first. It also comes with momentum: Polydor signed the project after “Starlight (The Fame)”, a 2025 revival featuring OneRepublic that the label says went platinum abroad within six months.
