French electronic duo Justice return in force with a new music video for their track “Neverender,” from their latest album “Hyperdrama.” Recently released, the video marks a notable return to the music landscape, faithful to the strong visual identity that has always accompanied the group.
An aesthetic journey
From the opening frames, the visual style intensely recalls Daft Punk’s “Discovery” era, and especially the iconic film “Interstella 5555” directed by Leiji Matsumoto. The credits confirm that a team from Japan is behind the work. Through drawn characters and dynamic scenes, the “Neverender” video is a Japanese anime blending fantasy, science fiction and a colourful universe. Fluid camera movements and psychedelic transitions give it an almost dreamlike feel (a constant in Justice’s world) where each frame looks like a work of art, timed precisely to the track’s hypnotic rhythm.
A powerful, bold soundtrack
