Radio Nova Presses French Touch’s Golden Era Onto Vinyl

Vinyl record compilation of French Touch classics

Radio Nova has turned eighteen French Touch classics into a double vinyl anyone can hold in their hands. “Nova Classics French Touch, Vol. 1” came out on October 24, 2025, and it plays like a mixtape from the station that never stopped championing the genre.

A station that was there from the start
Long before French Touch had a name, Radio Nova was already spinning it. The station built its identity around discovering French electronic and dance music early, running residencies, exclusive mixes and dedicated shows for artists who were still years away from filling arenas. This vinyl is less a nostalgia trip than a reminder of a relationship: Nova didn’t just cover the scene, it helped shape it.

Eighteen tracks, one thread
The tracklist reads like a scene report from French Touch’s peak: St Germain, Air, Cassius, DJ Mehdi, Phoenix, Justice and Myd all get a spot, curated by the station’s own programmers rather than an outside label. Pressed across two records in color vinyl, it’s built for people who want the physical artifact, not just the playlist. For a movement that grew up on dancefloors and FM radio, putting it on wax feels like the right way to close the loop.

There’s something fitting about a genre practically invented on bedroom samplers ending up on a format that still needs a needle and a bit of patience. Nova Classics won’t replace anyone’s music streaming queue, but it’s a nice reminder that some of this music was always meant to be held, not just streamed.
